The learning vision of the school that I chose is based off the Singapore MOE learning vision, on top of that, the school emphasizes educating and fostering a child holistically. While my system does place a large emphasis on the academic and career development, it also prioritizes being an asset to the country and community (democratic citizenship), and personal and moral values.

This learning vision somewhat sits in contrast with the OECD 2030 Learning Framework, specifically the factor that a "personalised learning environment that supports and motivates each student to nurture his or her own passions". My system's learning vision outside of academics relates more to societal and citizenship goals, and focuses less on personal passions.

60 YC Challenges

This learning vision also does not address the 60YC challenges, specifically because it does not necessarily prepare students in developing the capability to "adapt to new and unpredictable situations", but instead teaches students how to exist in the system that is already in place. However, in terms of technical skills, my learning system does currently have a new initiative focusing entirely on ways to bring technology into the academic space, beyond just as a projection and/or passive educational tool.

The learning vision and everyday pedagogy in my system also are not compatible with the vision put forward in Fishman and Dede, specifically the facet of "focusing teaching on participatory, collaborative, guided learning". Once again, while my system does provide students with a strong foundation in academics, it does not emphasize the idea of participatory or active learning. Instead, students are passive receivers of information.
