What did I do:

1. I found a video on Youtube where someone well explained what alignment involved and showed step-by-step how to do it;

2. I opened OmegaT;

3. as I watched the video, I paused it to follow exactly the same steps in my document.

Outcome: I learned to do the document alignment properly, which is an important part of using OmegaT

What did I do:

1. searched the internet for webinars on CAT tools;

2. selected a webinar created by Trados;

3. watched the webinar;

4. selected the most important information;

5. took notes.

Outcome: I learned some new things about CAT tools that were not mentioned in class, so I have a broader picture on the subject and am more aware of what CAT tools are and what they are used for.

Nevertheless, I want to expand my knowledge of the subject and look for more information on the use of specific programmes, e.g. Trados or MemoQ

I had experience with vtiger CRM while doing an internship at a translation agency

What did I do:

• Searching for contractors in the database;

• Checking whether the counterparties' data in the database is correct and up-to-date;

• adding new contractors to the database;

Outcome: being aware of what CRM looks like and how it works.

What did I do:

1. I found a Webinar,

2. I watched it,

3. I opened MemoQ to try out some regex codes.

Outcome: The webinar helped me understand why regex is a useful feature and why you should use it to smooth your workflow during translation.

Aim: becoming familiar with the CAT Phrase tool and its practical use.

What did I do:

1. I was added to the project;

2. I translated the files assigned to me, using machine translation, term base and QA;

3. I checked other people's translated texts as revisor.

Outcomes: I have gained experience in using the CAT tool both as a translator and as a revisor.
