         <description><![CDATA[<p>After World War II ended, tensions arose between the USA and the USSR. The USA wanted to make sure the Soviet Union did not spread it's communism to other countries. So they made a design of containment to keep it under control. The Korean War was one of the wars fought over communism and containment.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Did This War Split North and South Korea?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Yes and no; it re-established it. After World War II ended, there was a temporary border set up between North and South along the 38th parallel. This first border was set up in September, 1945. Then in March, 1953, they formally established the division of Korea. The 38th parallel is now where Korea is formally split to this day.</p>]]></description>
