Ensuring students to keep an open minded prospective would be a good approach in what I am understanding of how we can allow for our students to be able to learn.  

2.B. Cultural competency:
As educators we can ensure we tie in learning that allow students to embrace their own culture then from there we can branch out and tie other cultures into our learning by hitting on the similarities of both then ultimately tying them all together.

2. C. The “So What” factor, Critical Consciousness: 
We can accomplish this goal by setting small barriers/goals that they can do to build their confidence. To allow them to see that things are achievable and it always doesn't have to deal with how smart you think you are. It's the fact of just doing what you can to your best ability.

I will encourage students to be themselves regardless of what one may think. I will take the ground myself and embrace my differences to show them that everyone has differences and the more you embrace them the more unique you can be as yourself! I had a coach who always told me, "Fearlessly be yourself, because who you are is good enough!" That has always stuck with me throughout my years in growing up and it helped me out tremendously!

I believe that the student would stay to themselves and not be able to feel comfortable in the environment for them to show their true-self who they really are. What comes from this is putting a cap on their growth and might be a chance they could never truly grow into themselves. In the classroom this would put them in a uncomfortable situation and class participation most likely will be low and might even reflect in their grades. 

It's crucial because this can affect their development as a young student being able to feel comfortable with themselves to want to learn/participate in class for that they can maximize themselves in every way possible academically, socially and for their own well being with confidence.

1. A. First-off, this video was really heart felt for me seeing everyones scenario of what life was like for them growing up with a parent that doesn't speak english fluidly. Myself, growing up with my mother who is from the south has a accent in her speech and also doesn't always pronounce words correctly. Dealing with this growing up, I had friends make fun of me all the time and it wasn't the easiest thing to get through or over. It becomes rough for the both the parent and child. We all need to do better as a whole to help people each other out when dealing with all these different cases. 

1.B. Strategies I could see being used is showing these sorts of videos to students in class in a way where it's not embarrassing or harmful to anyone. Try to make them understanding of certain peoples situations and ways how they can help the cause. Allow for students who are facing these problems to have someone to talk to for guidance and words of advice.

I believe it went unnoticed because, for years and years the lower class community has this reputation of people not wanting to take education seriously and that most young black youths wants to run the streets or whatever the case maybe and nobody ever took the the time to really sit down and find the true underlining behind everything John was doing. It seems to me as if nobody truly cared.  

He possess ambition to be the best he can be, he posses drive to finish what he has started, Independence that taught him to do it himself for his greater good, Relentlessness not letting anyone or any circumstance stop him from getting what's his!
