This creates a very Us vs. Them black and white sort of morality which is dangerous. It's important to realize that "the devil" is not a separate entity, but something that is inside of every single one of us. And when we recognize that we ourselves are capable of "Evil" actions, than we can begin to reason will our "devil" and understand ourselves better. Talking kindly to your demons will help you to treat others better, because you've learned something about yourself.
