If we didn't have any study about cells, then we wouldn't have an understanding of how a specific medicine would affect our bodies. We also wouldn't be able to find vaccines to diseases, like if we didn't have an understanding of cells then scientist wouldn't have been able to create the covid-19 vaccine.

I believe that the main reason why the study of cells is of utmost importance is because cells are what make up all living things. If scientists had never discovered cells, then they may have never discovered cures to infections and diseases. This is because when the scientists had first invented and started using the microscope, the first thing they discovered were bacteria that may harm the human body. Also because they had discovered that cells are not only the very building blocks that make up all living things but contain organelles that help prevent infections from spreading to the rest of the body as well. Without the discovery of cells, scientists wouldn't have known that cells come from other cells and that those very cells being produced is most likely the reason why we grow and can heal from wounds. Cells and their organelles have many different functions that can affect our body's health in many different yet equally essential ways and if they were never discovered, scientists would have never known about this or have dug deeper to come to the conclusion for the need of proper health care. And those are the reasons I think would explain why the study of cells is very important.
