Then some people began to speak out against Diaz led by Fracisco I Madero.  Madero ran for president and when Diaz found out that Madero might win he put him in jail the Mexican revolution had many people trying to become president after Diaz was defeated and then a lot of presidents were defeated Obregon became president in 1920 and the fighting finally ended. President Porfirio Diaz a former military general he overthrew Mexico's  democratic elected president in 1876. President Porfirio Diaz declared himself president. And over the next 35 years he did good things and some bad things. Some farmers had no land and where forced to work like slaves for the rich owners of the haciendas. Also president Porfirio Diaz had a policy which limited a president for one term in office but Diaz ignored his own policy. And he kept running for reelection. Francisco I. Madero ran in the election against Diaz in 1910. And when Diaz found out Francisco might win he put Francisco in jail. With the election in 1920 Obregon won the election. And the fighting finally stopped. In 1856, Porfirio overthrew the current Mexican president and declared himself president. Under Porfirio's rule, Mexico was thriving well and he made peaceful decisions. Unfortunately, farmers and people who serve any helpful purpose were basically enslaved by a higher class. This is because the wealth and power were focused on the ruling class. No matter who went for election for president, Porfirio overthrew or re-elected himself. Once Porfirio fled to Florida after the victory of Mexico, a variety of people attempted to be president after him. Eventually, Oberon became the president in 1920 and fighting stopped. The dictator did positive things for his country. The power and wealth was in the hands of a small rooling class. Everyone else lived in poverty.
