<title>3. What are some of the ways we have been dancing in the rain? How will you know the year has wrapped up well? What will help you keep (or start) dancing in the rain? </title>

<title>1. *Added mindfulness- Mind Yeti to all lessons and kids keep asking for it. MoveMindfully.com-- moving and breathing poses. *Started greeting the students before the lesson and ask how to greet each other and give choices- If online, they must turn the camera on just for the greeting. *Mindful movement &amp; yoga. Breathe for Change course $200 for 200 hours also have free webinars (just yoga for teachers-a lot about inclusion and gave more language for working with a variety of students) for self and helped to plan lessons (good for self and lessons). *Decided to run a parenting book club virtually (6-7 sessions)- read a chapter, some discussion and breakout rooms-will do more of these and helped parents make connections and exchange contact info. How to talk so Children will listen and listen so children will talk &amp; The Whole Brain child (a little more theoretical). *Started Responsive Classroom at a school (parent sessions on Yardsticks (ie. PK/K, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5)-Had a roundtable conversation on what they have read. *1-2-3 Magic by John Phelan, good strategies for working with children. *Book reviews related on the guidance classes. *In guidance classes with older students, when gathering, we tell jokes and it has been a positive way to start and help build listening and sharing skills. *Offered small groups as an after school activity. *Offering small groups at the same time and on same day for each grade and have different topics throughout the year. *Zones of Regulation has been helpful in our school now. *Offer different sessions for students with autism- Every day Speech, offering after school sessions, (yoga, activity)</title>

<title>2. *Listen More, Love more, and talk less. *Flexible. *Recognize creativity and crafts with kids-origami and play. *Trying to plan activities ahead of time with options and levels of difficulty (quick and easy). *Authenticity-especially with older elementary to not baby and be appropriately real with them. *Trying to build in more student choice (lessons or small groups). *Open-minded towards using technology, especially with meeting parents/families-being more visible. Record presentations (ie on growth mindset do it for 5 or 10 minutes) trying to build relationships with parents. *Write in newsletter to give quick tips. *Coffee mornings has been working on Zoom and talk about Daring Greatly, Brene Brown (vulnerability). How to Raise Boys. How to Raise Girls--good books for parent discussions. Parents can just join in and do not have to read the book- create access to parents. *Calming spaces in all areas. *Set up peer mediation between students- Peacemakers. They learn how to solve the problems and we trained them to be able to be a peer mediator. Students start to do it by themselves. *Victor Frankl&#39;s quote grounds me: &quot;Between stimulus and response lies a space. In that space lie our freedom and power to choose a response. In our response lies our growth and our happiness.&quot;</title>

<title>3. *Quote from mom &quot; You are not in the dying business.&quot; after having a bad day- As long as everyone is alive, it&#39;s been a good day. *Humor is important- keep it no matter what the situation. *Make jokes even if bad things are happening. *Spirituality practice has been very important--when drawn to the last straw, I need to look at my spiritual side. *Intentional moments to seek spiritual space. *Trying to do the 3 good things (journal at the end of the day), especially for the rough moments or days. *Gratitude-- there is a lot to be grateful for. *Started listening to jazz music because some said it&#39;s hard to be down when listening to upbeat jazz music. *Calming music in the office helps. *Scheduled in my lunch now--used to just eat on the run and having healthier food and leave work on time-if it is not urgent, it can wait. *School transportation has forced me to leave on time. *Keep a sense of awe when things happen that are crazy-I think &quot;Wow. That&#39;s incredible.&quot; *Take a 10 minute walk outside during the school day. *Calming BTS piano music (Korean). Composer of the month. *Dance music and Friday dance song as a department.</title>
