One of the most crictical things needed for our future as humans

If renewable energies arent sufficient enough to keep up with human development, us as human will run out of fossil fuels in the next 50 years.

- Newer further researched renewable energies are needed that will not have potential to devastate local communities e.g. fukushima 2011

the
- share of renewable energy is expected to increase
greatly from 11% in FY 2010 to 25%–35% in FY 2030

- Japanese government show rising importance of renewable energy as they want to accelerate renewable energy resources to aquire energy security

- The market size of solar power generation devices is
expected to grow up to 1,287,600 million yen, which is 8
times larger than the 2008 figure.

- Japanese Yen is relatively strong to Australian dollar, was 1:1 start of year now down to 0.86:1, good for local investors if they are looking for the manufacturing for such future renewable energy products o

- Over the years, electricity generation from nuclear and thermal sources has grown much faster than from renewable sources in Japan. As a result, electricity generation from renewable resources has dropped from around 25% in 1970 to around 10% in 2012. In 2012, Japan’s Government and industry associations have announced aggressive plans to reverse this trend

- energy, which varies between 5% of total electricity in winter and around 12%-15% of total in summer, with an overall decrease since 2006.

- These trends want to be heavily reversed in Japan as Government intervention is currently utulizing resources to do so.

- however, the government is looking to outsource alot of these costs for private companies to compete for and hopefully turn a n environmentally friendly profit.

- The japanese are thinking differently since the 2011 fukushima disaster, wanting to move away from nuclear generated power onto renewable resources such as solar, wind, geo-thermal, and bio-mass.

http://www.jetro.go.jp/ext_images/en/invest/attract/pdf/e_renewable_rev.pdf

The link between such advancements in technology and how it benefits the car manufacturing industry

- Japan is the second largest market in the world for global drug and medical devices.

The country is witnessing rapid growth in this industry due to the increase of its a aging population.

Japan seeks to improve a healthier life expectancy for its society by focusing investment into the following areas :-

1. Promotion of regenerative medicine- Japan deregulated its regenerative drug market permitting entry and operations of private and third party organizations to certify regenerative medicine products and medical devices.

2. Promotion of new drug research and promoting the use of generic drugs. The Japanese government set a goal to increase the share of generic drugs upto 60% or more of dispenced drugs by the end of march 2018. Further pharmacies promoting the use of generic drugs have been highly evaluated compared to those selling dispenced drugs.

3. The government seeks to prioritize the approval process of the use of orphan drugs/ medical devices. This type of drugs/medical devices is used for less than 50,000 people where special medical needs exist. under this market foreign-affiliated companies can take advantage of their strong point when the marketing environment is ready, they are expected to be active.

The main three markets focused for foreign investment in the life science sector is the Drug market, the medical device market and the market for regenerative medicine.

- The domestic market for medical equipment has witnessed growth between the years 2007 to 2011. During the year 2011 the market was valued at 2,385,998 million yen. However, due to the increase in the size of hospitals and their operating theatres in japan, the government is seeking foreign-affiliated companies to be active in medical devices such as endoscopic surgery medical equipment,
magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment, medical X-ray, computerized tomography (CT) equipment, artificial organs, catheters and tubes, and interventional radiology (IVR) products.

- The drug market in Japan has witnessed a similar growth between the years 2007 - 2011. The domestic drug market was valued in 2011 at 9,380,257 million yen while the import market for drugs was only 27% in comparison. The main targeted markets for foreign-affiliated companies to be active in is the market for Generic drugs, Biosimilar products and biopharmaceutical products.

- According to a report published by the ministry of economy, trade and industry, the market for regenerative products in japan is expected to witness rapid growth by the year 2050. For example the market is expected to be 10 times larger by the year 2020 compared to that during the year 2012.

- <gs id="bafb848a-8b0a-4aa2-8cdc-c546fa3c32da" ginger_software_uiphraseguid="d24310de-fa98-473f-9269-d1bddbeac7c8" class="GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark">the</gs> regenerative medicine replacing pancreas, kidney, and liver transplantation will be marketed and that the expansion of such market will be accelerated.

-

http://www.jetro.go.jp/ext_images/en/invest/attract/pdf/e_life_rev.pdf

The Sun, the most vital source of what we now
like to call alternative energy, is what our earth begs for every day. The sun
emits large quantities of energy every day, and roughly 174 quadrillion watts
hits earth, which is far greater then what future population growths will ever use.
Our modern industrial civilization has grown a large extent due to the use of fossil
fuels. One of the most precious and efficient sources of energy, oil, is
starting to exhaust and running increasingly low. Collectively on earth oil discoveries are nearly a thing of the past as we are discovering less then what is consumed! Experts in the field of sustainable
energy have turned their attention towards solar energy, why? Because it’s a real,
viable opportunity and solution to surpass fossil fuel use.

The Japanese government were thrown under the bus when the natural events of 2011 unfolded onto their country, collapsing the Fukushima nuclear plant. This was huge news, people baffled on how it couldof ever happen and all the negative effects that were to flow and now do towards the people.

The monstrous radioactive wasteland should prove to everyone about the devastation nuclear plants can have.

Disease and famine have struck surrounding regions heavily and radioactive water pollution is huge. (look back at the image)

Since this, the attitude of the average Japanese

person has evolved further towards natural more sustainable options and pushing
for these to happen, evolving the emerging market to a necessity as part of
their future, making room for market entry. The share of renewable energy is
expected to increase greatly from 11% in 2010 to roughly 25-35% in 2030,
Further, the market for solar power generation devices is expected to grow
towards 1,300,000 (1.3 billion) yen annually next year, 8 times larger than the
2008 figure. As we can
see, the market is there for renewable energy, but how we tackle the issue and
change the mindsets of the larger population towards a better more sustainable
future deserves a bigger more strategic approach.

With all these overwhelming statistics, the question as to whether
renewable energy is superior to other sources of energy, is now redundant.

Therefore, the question now is not if investors should participate
in the funding of renewable energy sources in Japan, but when.

In 2011, there was a major earthquake resulting in a tsunami Japan. This
natural disaster disabled the power supply of three Fukushima reactors in one
of their power plants. This lead to horrendous consequences, that are continuing
on today, not only for Japan but for the world. Therefore,
it is evident that renewable energy is a superior form of energy not only as an
economic incentive but for the health and future for people worldwide.

Since 2008, the monetary amount in yen has grown exponentially. In
regard to Solar Power Systems, the market is expected to continue to grow at
this rate from 2013. Due to the increase in Solar Power, there is now a surplus of power.

Meaning the system price or the price of solar power will drop, becoming very
attractive to consumers.

Doctors have divided modern medicine into
various small fields, and this division is primarily based on the organ
targeted by the medicine. They normally investigate the symptom in the human
body according to predefined criteria and base their findings on the mean
values.

As a result, modern medicine is not
effective in diagnosing or treating abnormal body functions and sometimes may
not even diagnose the abnormal function as an illness.

In order to provide people the better treatment, modern medicine will be replaced by regenerative medicine in the future.

The building of a market environment in the
life sciences field in Japan is in progress, with advances in regulatory reforms
by the government such as simplification and speedup of processes through deregulation
relating to regenerative medicine and medical devices. Japan has also made
accelerated efforts for practical application of IPS cells. IPS is defined as Induced
pluripotent stem cells as a type cell that can be generated directly from adult
cells. Expectations are therefore growing in Japan that iPS cells can be used
in various fields such as organ regeneration and drug design research.

The size of the market for regenerative
medicine in 2012 was 91.1billion yen, however the market size is expected to
be 954.4 billion in 2020, 10 times larger compared to 2012. It is expected there will
be more regenerative medicine targets developed. As far as we know, the upside
potential of this market is huge. In the future, the regenerative medicine will
be leading the trend in the medical industry.

Japan holds the title as the second largest market for the global Drug and medical devices. In saying so the Japanese government seeks to improve this market further due to the increasing ageing population and due to the discovery of many new illnesses that require a subsequent amount of research and development. Therefore japan is inviting investment into new drug research and for the promotion of Generic drugs in order to achieve their market share of generic drugs of up to 60%. The Japanese government is promoting the use of these drugs and have highly evaluated pharmacies that recommend the use of generic drugs over <gs id="5d0d26d2-87f4-43f2-b15c-751e56b29db6" ginger_software_uiphraseguid="3de615c0-d428-41a7-b744-9e1bbc40e303" class="GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark">dispenced</gs> drugs.

There are many diseases that are not widespread and may only be common among a very small percentage of its overall population.

Introduction: The Japanese Economy despite its small size. Japan is a major economy in the modern world, it currently has the 3rd economy in the entire world, only behind The USA and China. Japan has some cultural philosophies that they apply to their economy and that could possibly be a reason for much of their success in the economy sector. In the current society, there is a nature resource decreasing due to its rapid economic growth. As a result, government have to pay more attention on process of renewable energy for the future development. At the same time, Japan has already presented the phenomenon of an aging society, this is why Japan needs development of medical science and technology. In the following content, the specific content of renewable energy and medical technology will be introduces by other group member.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, the renewable energy is getting more important for the market in the Japan. And the development of renewable energy not only increase the level of economy in Japan, but also plays a major role in the sustainable development of whole world. The development of medical science and technology has affected people's daily life. Especially Japan in an aging society, this is the reason why Japan focus on development of medical science and technology.

Many analysts are predicting that in the long run most of Japan’s renewable energy will come from wind but that in the short term solar will take the lead. A positive move by the Japanese government in our book which will reap rewards in the future and leave their country not only safer than it has been in terms of the risk of nuclear accidents, but also help it achieve a significant reduction in carbon emissions. Something we will all benefit from. While The growing elderly population, which is a major reason for expansion of healthcare related markets, is also prominent in Japan. It is expected that the healthcare market in Japan will continue to grow due to this situation and the growing interest in health.
