• If John has 10 cookies and gives 5 to his sister, how many cookies does he have left?

• Represented by the equation: x−5=10 where x is the number of cookies left.

3. Producto:

• If a bakery makes 6 cupcakes per tray and they have 4 trays, how many cupcakes do they have in total?

• Represented by the equation: x×4=24 where x is the number of cupcakes.

4. División:

• If there are 24 candies and they are divided equally among 6 children, how many candies does each child get?

• Represented by the equation: x÷6=24 where x is the number of candies each child gets.

The new Pythagorean Theorem theme will be presented.

A brief introduction to geometry will be given: What is a triangle? and about who was Pythagoras and his theorem.

DESARROLLO: Se explicará como está compuesto el led RGB, para posteriormente iniciar la conexión respecto al código en Arduino.

1. Trace a hand onto cardboard and cut it out.

2. Cut straws into 1-inch pieces (or 1/2 inch if you have a small hand!).

3. Using the tape, attach the straw pieces to the hand (see top image).

4. Crease the cardboard in between the straws – these will simulate your joints (see red lines on top image).

5. Cut five 12-inch pieces of yarn and tie a bead to the end of each.

6. Thread each piece of yarn through the straw pieces, starting with the fingertips and ending at the palm of your hand. Each finger should be controlled by one string.

7. Use the strings together or independently to control the movement of each of the fingers. Congrats on your new robot hand!
