Taking something we understand as an object (example a table) then personifying/manipulating it’s shapes to create something ‘alive looking’  (example: an animal) can be very unsettling. 

I like what this artist has done. What I interpreted this painting is a gather of like minded people. (Correct me if I’m wrong) but the depiction of the women being crouched/visually lower then the men pushes the ideas of a patriarchal society. 

I would like to recreate a live version of this image for my upcoming short “Body”. At a more modern gathering such as a party. 
However depict each gender with equality

Playing with angles, mirroring, pace… and even the none usage of all of the screens at once.

It makes us viewers connect to our natural instincts to this foreign way of consuming cinema. We look for patterns, question for a right angles, wonder why some screens are at certain points inactive. It can be draining to follow your mind along a pathway of questions without clear answers.

I found there is only one answer and that there is not answer at all. There is no ‘right angle’ there is no ‘pattern to a secret message’ etc. In regular cinema, when booking we look for the BEST seats for the BEST viewing. But with multiple screens, the idea of there being a poor viewing is eliminated. And that in fact, everyone will most likely leave the cinema with a different viewing in mind. 

From my perspective, each screen serves a purpose. The ‘main focus’ and the ‘supporting acts’. Not to discredit the parts where in some parts each screen was indeed the ‘main focus’.
However, this is not written in stone and I can understand why someone may argue the ‘main focus’ ideology. This way of screening is completely subjective in it’s takes which makes it complete unique. Although I’m left confused by this quote. The reason I was drawn to this piece is it’s uniqueness to the gallery. This is one of the only depictions of a women being a mentor such as a teacher. One of the common trends of ,naked female art’ is  the depiction of women being ‘’prizes’. This painting in particular tells us that the milk of JUNOs breasts is what created the milkaway… Not only is she depicted as a prize, she is also painted asleep. Unable to consent to male Hercules son’s actions. 

Could this suggest that the artist depicted men as these heroic creators? when really… they are acting like the thieves with the intention to capture the women’s body rather then her mind?

She is only a tool to his desire. And to the mothership… Serotonin. Yes. Yet another drug your brain throbs over. You really on what they tell you to keep your fix, same prescription different week. Does it actually make you feel good? You’re a Liar. 

Romanization is the death of humanity. You’re so far down the rabbit hole and what’s worse is that sometimes… you know it.

Art is serotonin. It makes you feel good. It looks cool on top of your vintage wooden unit. But that’s all there is to it. It just fits perfectly in your pretty little life

It’s the creation of something new. Something only you could’ve ever come up with. Fresh, pure.

Create. Create. Create. You don’t need to pay others to do it for you. You must start trusting yourself. Can’t you see they’re tricking you into debt? You don’t need their sales or discounts to feel some worth.

Stop ignoring the silenced part of her mind. She has something to say and deserves to be listened to. How dare you distance yourself from her? How could you disregard her like that? 

She is your unique source of creation, and it would be an abomination to only listen to the loud, irritating, drug-driven part of your mind. Both deserve a final say, both deserve to be a part of your creations.
