1. One representative from each Level 2 class.

2. Stories presented must not touch on sensitive issues such as race, religion, stereotyping and politics.

3. Contestants are only allowed to use the stand microphone provided to ensure minimal movement.

4. Adjudications are based on:

i) Language Proficiency – 30 marks

ii) Presentation / Delivery – 25 marks

iii) Theme / Storyline – 40 marks

iv) Costumes – 5 marks

v) Penalty – 10 marks

5. Props, backdrops and sound effects are not allowed. Any use of these will allow for disqualifications by the judges.

6. Time allocated to present the story is 6 to 8 minutes. The bell will be rung at the 7^th minute to indicate there is 1-minute left. Mark will be deducted thereafter.

7. A maximum of 10 marks will be deducted if a contestant:

i) touches on sensitive issues such as race, religion, stereotyping and politics.

ii) presents a story below stipulated time – 2 marks for every minute.

iii) presents a story above stipulated time – 2 marks for every minute.

iv) uses props, backdrops and electronically-aided sound effects – 2 marks.

8. Green sticker exemption; contestants with green sticker allow to read the text. Other rules apply similarly to them.
