Session 1: Getting ready for our Virtual Exchange!

During our first session, we prepared to meet our partners from Slovenia and Spain. We located both countries on the map and explored photos of the Slovenian school and town. To get ready for the interaction, we practiced introducing ourselves and using the structure "Do you like...?" through examples. Finally, we created personalized drawings of our favorite hobbies, which we will use to present ourselves and interact with our new friends in the upcoming live meeting.

Session 2: Meeting each other!

Today was the big day! We finally had our live virtual exchange with our partners. We connected online to introduce ourselves in pairs, sharing our names, ages, and hobby drawings. We practiced our communication skills by asking and answering "Do you like...?" questions. While our new friends spoke, we listened carefully to complete our worksheets with their information. We ended the session with a fun miming game, guessing different hobbies together, and asking questions of our countries. It was an amazing and successful meeting!

Session 3: Our second asynchronous session!

Hi everyone!

We have started the second asynchronous session of our project. In this stage, we are turning into content creators: we are preparing special videos for our classmates.

The goal? To explain the games and activities we love to play in our free time. We can't wait to see the explanations and discover new ways to have fun!

Second synchronous session: Voting, hobbies and flashcard fun!

In our second synchronous session, we carried out three engaging activities. The students participated in a voting activity to choose their favorites games, which were Hide and Seek (one of the games explained by the Spanish team) and Duck, Duck, Goose (one of the games explained by the Slovenian team). Then, we did an interactive exercise, in which they practiced recognizing and naming hobbies in English. After that, we learnt the word in Spanish, and Slovenian. Finally, we played a flashcard game that allowed students to practice asking and answering questions in English while guessing different free-time activities. It was an enjoyable session with a lot of interaction!

WORKING IN OUR VIRTUAL EXCHANGE FINAL PROJECT

Our students are currently busy working on their posters for the Virtual Exchange project! They are using Canva to design visual posters of famous figures from both countries. It is great to see them researching and choosing the perfect emojis to create their secret biography codes. We are almost ready to show you the final results!

Mission accomplished!

The results are finally in! Our students from Spain and Slovenia have finished their final task, and the posters look amazing.

We want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone! This project has been a fantastic journey, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to work together. It’s been an incredible experience learning about each other’s cultures. See you soon!
