Teachers  have registered the pupils in www.hourofcode and evaluated the whole process online. Children are really enthusiastic and  they are writing down their reflections and opinions about their experience in the week of coding.

 This school year we have decided to introduce ICT in the curriculum to improve the knowledge of new media and promote innovation in didactic and methods. 

Our pupils are motivated and enthusiastic; they love working either individually or in groups in their virtual classes and deliver their materials in dedicated platforms: “Fidenia” and “eTwinning” for Erasmus plus. 

Traditional activities could be also combined with guided playful and enjoyable creation of apps in social learning, which can lead pupils to manage consciously new technologies at school and at home.

Teaching ICT means preparing our young students for  their future in order to face and challenge a world that is always evolving technologically.

Our children are now prepared to participate in a worldwide event dedicated to “The hour of Code”, organized in our school by our teachers Mrs Brigida Clemente, Mr Iazzetti and  Mr Gianni Marasco. 

In this event children will approach CODING through games simultaneously with their mates all over the world.

This initiative and other future events based on ICT gamification and/or game based learning will be the focus of etwinning and Erasmus plus K2 transnational project “Our school, Our playground”.

We are really proud of our innovative teaching methods that will lead our “digital natives” to be active citizens and aware members of a worldwide community.
