I currently teach Travel & Tourism Industry management. I would love to incorporate more technology into this program. Right now it seems we spend most of our time using the Internet and some form of presentation. What are some cool technology tools that upper level high school students might enjoy that would help make this content more exciting?

Students could create an inforgraphic about a town, city, couty, country etc. They could also create a QR code to go along with the Infographic to link to a webpage about the town's iinfo. I found this lesson on the Texas CTE Tourism and Management Course Lesson Plan: Tech Savvy Traveler.

This is still a presentation method, but it has a cool twist: You might give the website Nearpod a look-see.
It's kind of like PowerPoint's younger, cooler brother. You can make presentations that embed websites, videos, and even VR tours of locations. It's pretty user-friendly (you can even import a regular PPT and then use the tools to jazz it up & add Nearpod content). It has tools to keep the presentation interactive (like embedded questions/quizzes/polls). You can show it on a large projector screen but there is also a follow-along feature that pushes it out to the audience's devices, a great feature if you embed VR tours (and the presenter controls their pace, so there's no clicking through/ahead to rush through it).
