Students can identify the story elements for a book they have read. Then, they can devise an alternate ending and display it using Scratch. The would have to plan out what would happen if different choices were made.

In this activity, students work in pairs to create step-by-step instructions (algorithms) for completing a simple task, such as making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or solving a basic maze. Students exchange their algorithms with another pair to see if they can successfully follow the steps to achieve the desired outcome.
