The Sahara or Sahara is the world's largest hot desert and the third largest after Antarctica and the Arctic. With more than 9,400,000 km² in area, it covers most of North Africa occupying an area almost as large as as big as China or the United States.
Interesting data:

Saharan Dunes can reach 180 metres in height.

Many dinosaur fossils have been found in the Sahara.

Why is it called the Sahara desert?
The Sahara gets its name from the Arabic word sahra, which means 'desert'. 6. Sand dunes and sheets cover only around 25% of the Sahara's actual surface. This desert also has numerous other land features including salt flats, gravel plains, plateaus and even mountains where snow has been recorded.

For me it is a good trip that if I could afford to do it when I was older I would do it without a doubt because it is very beautiful.

Lake Eyre
By Ruth:

Lake Eyre, officially known as Kati Thanda–Lake Eyre, is, on the rare occasions when it is full, the largest lake in Australia and also the lowest point in the country (approximately 15m below sea level). sea). It is an endorheic lake that drains the Lake Eyre basin. The lake is located in the desert area of central Australia, north of South Australia. The Lake Eyre basin is a huge endorheic system around the lake, the lower part of which is covered in a salty layer characteristic of endorheic systems, produced by the seasonal expansion of the volume of water and the consequent evaporation of trapped water. Even in the warmer seasons, there is almost always some water left in the lake, which is usually collected in a series of smaller underground lakes. During the rainy season, the rivers of the northeast (in the outback, in Queensland) flow into the lake. The amount of monsoon water determines whether the water will make it to the lake, and if it does, how deep it will go. The lake can also suffer small and moderate floods, caused by the volume of rains that fall in the area. Typically, there are 5 ft (1.5 m) floods every three years; of 4 m (13 ft), every decade and a full or near flood, four times every 100 years. Lake water evaporates quickly, so minor and medium floods dry up by the end of the following summer.
