While my mom was pregnant with me everyone told her she was going to be having a boy based on her side affects of pregnancy. Despite what people told her my parents decided to keep my gender a secret from everyone including them. However, when October 6th, the day I was born, rolled around my gender was no longer a secret, but shockingly enough my name of William Dale Price remained the same. My parents were unable to see me or hold me right after giving birth to me because I got stuck and began to suffocate; therefore, I was born the color of a Smurf. After sometime my uncle spotted me in the baby nursery with a bright blue hat on, they had just so happen to run out of pink hats. When my family finally got to meet me my name quickly changed. Many names flew around the room until my grandma said Mickala. Mickala originates from Ireland and means, “who is like god.” However neither of these factors played a role in why they chose Mickala. They had heard it on a TV show called Dr. Quinn and when my grandma said it my parents fell in love with it.
