In today's world there's more of a bridge when it comes to communication. When talking to someone, you can get lost in talking about yourself instead of listening to the other person as well. Communicating consists of talking but even more so with listening. Additionally, before we jump into making assumptions about a person's situation it's best we have good listening skills, let’s be more understanding as human beings not many of us can meet every of your criteria or reach up to your standard, put yourself in someone’s shoes next time before criticizing.

Tae: The influence of music is huge for many people in the world. For some, music helps them to focus and get work done, brings motivation when working out, or to help release anxiety in large crowds. Music even has affected people in the music industry where it encourages them to create their own music.
Anna: As Tae mentioned music likewise helps me get work done, sometimes cools me down. When I discover the love for music my heart was over joyed therefore Music also brings happiness to many people. People should know that some problems can be solved by music, depends on what kind though.

Rational Thought: The military should not be allowed to present at college fairs

Every time Tucson High hosts a job fair, it seems that many if not all of the military branches are present. They outnumber the colleges that are presenting, and offer what is almost an ALTERNATIVE to college. Sure you can serve and come back home for free school, but at what cost? PTSD? Loss of hearing? A missing limb? The military is inspiring tons of high school students to risk their lives at a college fair. I understand some people DO want to join the military right out of high school, and that’s okay; However I believe the military booths should have a different fair all to themselves to allow more colleges to be able to present, and provide students with valuable information.

Rational thought: Obedience should not be taught as an important virtue to children.

Obedience is something that seems to be taught to children from a very young age in many households, and almost all schools. Children are taught to obey when an adult or person with "more power" tells them to do something. This can be very dangerous, and steer young minds away from the idea that they are capable of thinking for themselves. It becomes risky when the virtue of obedience and fear of not conforming begin to outweigh rational thinking and reason. People should never do something simply because they were taught to obey, rather they should consider for themselves what is most ethical and what makes the most sense. There have been studies, such as the Milgram experiment, that reveal just how obedient and conforming people are. We need to make sure that kids grow up learning that they can think for themselves and that refusing to obey for the sake of obeying can be an important and powerful tool to have access to.

Love is a common subject, presented as something that everyone should be seeking all the time. The concept of "the one" is not only a worn-out T.V., but also one constantly pushed on us by those around us. Yet for something we are so constantly surrounded or concerned with, it can be surprisingly hard to achieve. It seems love can be boiled down to one thing that can be true while also knowing that love is a spectrum: love, above all else, is about acceptance.

Abortion is a big topic that’s not legalized in all 50 states. More recently many states are starting to ban the right to get one, taking away a human right to have control over your own body. On one side of the argument, some say abortion is murder and taking away a human life, even after a few weeks of being conceived. When the other side of the argument states that it is a way to control women’s bodies and prevent them to make their own decisions, even if it will bring them harm. The possibility of abortion becoming banned is scary as it is a problem. Even though this controversial idea is frowned upon by many people of society, there is no reason for anyone other than the pregnant woman to say what she can or cannot do with her body.

Gender Identity and Systematic Enforcement of Gender Roles in Society

Many things in our lives are dictated by gender roles, from clothing choices to behavior to life goals. As discussion with gender identity gained traction, so did ideas about systematic gender roles. Gender roles affect everyone, not just women. They stigmatize women independence, cultivate toxic masculinity and close off ideas on the spectrum of different gender identities. These outdated notions harm everyone but are celebrated and normalized because it gives society a two dimensional and easily digestible way to separate and control people.

I feel like mental health is something so mistreated in our society. Nowadays people go through a lot of trauma or trauma is brought back up from difficult situations that people went through and I feel like no one actually talks about how they're feeling because we leave in a world where there is so many high standards for different types of people. For example, some men believe that they can't show emotion because it makes them feel weak or feel like they're not tough enough to show how they are really feeling which is honestly a huge problem because no one should feel like they have to hide how they're feeling just because there are other people out there that want to make it seem like showing your sensitive side is a bad thing.

I know it was already said but i think mental heath is a very important topic i think that talking about it in art should be normalized. Alot more people would be more comfortable with it if it was only talked about it. Even if were just normalizing stress that would probably be beniffical to peopel who worry about being isolated by feelings. People say that your'e not alone in what your'e going though but then turn around and not talk about anyone elses experiances. Nobody likes feeling isolated but when everyone passes off emotions by invalidating what people are saying. In the future it only gains unhealthy coping mechanisums and unstable or unhappy adults for those who don't learn to cope properly
