His first major retrospective was at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts in 1970.[18] The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, presented two solo exhibitions during his lifetime, in 1978 and 2002. In 1980 another retrospective was organised by the University Art Museum in Berkeley.[

In 1885, at the age of 17, Curtis became an apprentice photographer in St. Paul, Minnesota. In 1887 the family moved to Seattle, Washington, where he purchased a new camera and became a partner with Rasmus Rothi in an existing photographic studio. Curtis paid $150 for his 50% share in the studio.

Beaton's first camera was a Kodak 3A folding camera. Over the course of his career, he employed both large format cameras, and smaller Rolleiflex cameras. Beaton was never known as a highly skilled technical photographer, and instead focused on staging a compelling model or scene and looking for the perfect shutter-release moment.
He was a photographer for the British edition of Vogue in 1931 when George Hoyningen-Huene, photographer for the French Vogue travelled to England with his new friend Horst. Horst himself would begin to work for French Vogue in November of that year. The exchange and cross pollination of ideas between this collegial circle of artists across the Channel and the Atlantic gave rise to the look of style and sophistication for which the 1930s are known

It seems the best part of waking up these days…..are GIFs in your cup. We all know that greetings and salutations are some of the most frequently used GIFs in messaging, and this original GIF from GIPHY Studios (combining unbridled enthusiasm with a caffeine fix) nailed it 175MM times.

Analysis:
What i've analysed about this GIF is that its promoting a cup of tea or hot chocolate. Weaknesses -  l feel like i should have spent more time on my objectify padlet as well as spent more time writing and explaining what each image displays or shows.

Opportunity - I learnt many things within this objectify project such as making a GIF and how to plan before making a final judgement on what i want to do.

Threat - I didn't understand depth of field until it was explained and got shown many different examples. i also didn't give myself enough time to learn all the new techniques. There was also a lot of difficulties in terms of the weather because it wasn't always great or go as planned so it was hard to get quality images.
