I do not think that communities should sacrifice deep emotions in order to maintain peace. The families are put together with people who they do not love and almost feel nothing for, it's better to feel the love and the pain than to stay with someone you feel nothing for at all. Emotions can bring peace and understanding of oneself and others.

In my opinion I think communities should sacrifice emotions like love I think this way just because it maintains order and peace in our lives we experience disdain while even if we have emotions here is life worth living with depression and loneliness having feelings that we don't even need is worthless. Even if we have love it can't fix everything while if we all felt the same we wouldn't have terror in our world like the book that giver gives us a brief explanation on why they removed certain things.

I think communities should have deep emotions like love because love maintains peace and it shows the true life of a human. Having deep emotions could also help the community have more meaning to life. For example, Jonas even feels like he's going crazy because he can't have love. Soon enough, these feelings of him holding back emotions he shouldn't have to, may lead to him doing something crazy.
