They also had to pay 30$ and take care of the land. This deal persuaded people to relocate to the Great Plains, the catch was that most times the land given out had terrible soil.</div>]]></description>

Colonel Custer and his men arrived at the reservation to attack the Indians but were swarmed by 2500 armed warriors along the Little Bighorn River. Around 250 officer were wiped out and two columns failed to come to their rescue. The Native Americans victory was short lived though. </div>]]></description>

If the head of the tribe was similar to white farmers and settlers they were able to receive land and citizenship. They were given up to 160 acres of land. The land that was not given to the Native Americans was sold to railroads. </div>]]></description>

It was a battle between the Lakota Sioux, 150 Sioux were killed by the US troops. The battle started when the Sioux left the reservation to protest the Sitting Bull death. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A treaty was made in 1851 with Native Americans in Wyoming near Fort Laramie. The treaty asked or more accurately coerced with money or with violence. Native Americans, Sioux were forced to have limited land in the west and stay on the reservations.The treat of 1868 was once again forcing Natives to sty on the reservations in exchange of Americans agreeing to not build anything on their territory, on Sioux land.</div>]]></description>
