         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>In 1901, Great Britain had a constitutional government, but not a fully-fledged democracy. </li><li>Britain had not grown close with many countries before the war, but they for sure had enemies, which included Russia, France, Boers in South Africa, many British Colonies were demanding independence and put Germany on the watch list.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Irish wanted to be independent from Britain and a treaty was signed called Anglo-Irish treaty.  This made Ireland independent from Britain making Britain lose land.  They also lost a few more colonies but Ireland was the biggest lost.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-The Allies spent $147 billion on the war in total. (1913 U.S. Dollars)<br>- Of that $147 billion, Great Britian spent $47 billion dollars. (1913 U.S. Dollars.)<br>- Before WW1 Britian was the world's economic superpower.<br>However it wasn't ready for the economic impact war would have.<br>- The Allies won World War I by simply outlasting the Central Powers. Germany was fighting on two fronts and were losing over 1 million young men lives.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>It became a full democracy in 1918.</li><li>After the war, Britain became neutral with Russia and France, began fighting British controlled Irish colonies and soon more. (Nigeria &amp; India)</li><li>Great Britain introduced universal male adult suffrage and votes for women over 30 years old. This change is a positive change because it allowed more people to spread their thoughts through voting.</li><li>The change of government was also a positive change because it allowed the public to rule with it's majority.</li></ul>]]></description>
