I'm grateful to all the doctors in O&G. Truthfully, I learned a great deal of lessons in terms of knowledge and also attitude as a doctor. I thought 10 weeks is a long period of time to pass, little did i know I'm already at the end of the posting biting my nails anxiously whilst waiting for EOP. Time passed in a blink of an eye, if this is not a sign of me enjoying the posting then I don't know what is. Again my heartfelt thanks to all the doctors who taught me what dedication is. You are all very inspiring.

Good luck to my colleagues !!!

To be continued after EOP ...

~ Miss X :P

I learn a lot about life from this posting, the struggles of a mother bearing the pain, having to undure surgery, all because of the love for their yet to be born child. The husbands are all patient, waiting at the labour room for him wife and future child, and having to take care of the other children at home, while the wife is at the hospital. TRUE LOVEEE ❤️ From time to time, it made me think twice of to be pregnant or not haha 😂 But looking at how cute the babies are, I couldn't wait to have one 😂

Other than that, what made me fall in love with O&G was the lecturers themselves, how dedicated they are in teaching us and being so kind to the patients. Thank you lecturers ❤️ I hope that our success will be able to repay all of your kindness 😊

On the other hand, O&G is quite challenging for me in terms of knowing the lie, presentation etc 😅 Hopefully my hands will be able to feel the right things 😂 Management is another part that I need to know well, as it differs according to patients' conditions. But it taught me to be able to weight the risks n benefits when deciding what's best for the patients.

All in all, I love O&G ❤️ Please pray that all of us pass this posting ✨✨ All the best everyone 😉

I like this posting as clear ideas on examination, investigation, management of patient are clearly guided during teaching. At first I thought O&G involve only pregnant ladies alone, however there are vast interesting experiences that I encountered such as fertilty problem, assisting in IUI and embryo transfer, management of fetus.

I love the dedication of the doctors who are willing to do classes after office hour, sacrificing their time to impart knowledge to us. Thousand thanks to doctors!

For the logbook, I find it difficult to complete it as
there are many procedures need to be observed and done. For the cwu, having to write 4 cwu take most of our times during this 9 weeks, maybe doctor can reduce it to three? Just giving suggestion.

Lastly, I’m still afraid of going for EOP although doctors keep emphasising that O&G is easy. I will do my best, and please doctor, pass the whole batch :))
Thank you.

There are so many see-saws (to balance risk and benefits) in O&G posting. History taking and physical examination for O&G is new for us too. Planning the management not only for mother but also for fetus, not only for the disease/condition now but also for preparing next pregnancy or consideration for desire of fertility in future. However thanks to dedicated lecturers we have, I learnt a lot correct techniques on how to take history, doing physical examination, order relevant investigation and plan the management in a organized way. Thank you Drs and Profs for the teachings during all sessions with us, including CPs, TBL and ward round seminars.

Just some feedback, it is so great that we have CPs with all lecturers, we got to get ourselves familiar with the style and expectation of lecturers. Just wonder why we do not have scheduled CP with Dr Shuib? 😀🤔

Clinic session is very useful as I get to know about infertility which we seldom clerk on it in the ward and I also get to observe growth scan for multiple pregnancy. Just a suggestion, ward round orientation SN Sabariah should be done earlier for each groups as all of us (not only clinic group) will have oncall at labour room starting 1st week.

I love ward round seminars, as it helps me to know how we should efficiently summarize the case and highlight the important issues. But I'm not sure if are the ward round seminars mainly for 5th years but 1 hour sometimes is not enough to discuss 4 cases (2 from 4th year 2 from 5th year) hence no much discussion can be done after each case presentation.

For the logbook, I find there are many procedures need to be observed and done but thank you for setting the minimum requirement for us. Sometimes it really needs "luck" to get chance to observe emergency or procedures like colposcopy. For the cwu, having to write 4 cwu took most of our times during this 9 weeks, especially finding suitable case for gynae cwu is time-consuming. Despite this, I think its manageable as we all managed to complete all. 😉

I'm not sure for others but theory paper is hard for me T.T Sorry Dr for not studying enough😢

Thank you Drs and Profs for all knowledge shared with us! Thank you the staff nurse and the patients in O&G too, they are so friendly and approachable so we can always go to ward to do practice!! Really, sincerely hope this Friday 4pm, all of us pass this posting! 🍀

But, after going through the posting, I've learnt that in any situation we need to weigh the risks and benefits and have really good judgment to plan the next course of action.

Dr, first and foremost i would like to thank all of u with all my heart for being so passionate in teaching us despite us being clueless and so forgetful sometimes or most of the times😅. We do try hard, we hope u know that but sometimes new things are hard to remember what more to apply in really life situations.

Nevertheless ur continuous encouragement that advices us to study whats in the ward, to on call. Really helps me to understand the management better instead of reading piles of book that proposed different point of view regarding how to manage a patient.

What i do realised is that, just my humble opinions, we do need extra bedside teaching for short cases especially. However due to our supervisor’s group comes from different groups, make it hard for us to scheduled extra classes with supervisor and until the end we couldn’t find the right time. Cause somehow everybody being posted in different wards, kajang or clinics.

Classes with sister sabariah was very helpful for all of us . We really appreciate her genuine intention to teach us what’s happening in the labour room especially if its at the beginning of the posting. However, if its towards the end, all of us had already go through on calls and had gone through what’s happening in LR through our friends. So I think it will be better for her classes to be brought in earlier, maybe during the first or second week if sister is free.

Another thing that im hoping for is that, is it possible if during last week before examinations we could have some more time for our self studying?🙏🏻 Somehow it was hectic therefore if possible, we do hope that the schedule can be scattered a part 🙂.

Lastly, Im sooooo grateful to all the doctors for creating such a healthy and enjoyable environment for us to study. Keep giving us hope and ur sincerity shines through your gentle way of teaching. That’s what keep driving us forward and not to disappoint ur hard work. Please keep it that way doctor, healthy environment create a healthy mind to enjoy and love what we are studying.

All the doctors in O&g are like angels. I really like Og posting. Thanks for Dr Maiza extra class before exam to enhance our exam knowledge. Just that i think cp schedule can be more in timetable as sometimes in that one week only one cp or even no cp at all. Otherwise, overall O&G is best.
