I learned about Ephemeral Tech, "which works combining technology that is purpose-built for these artworks in which the interface is tactile, ethereal materials, and states of matter. So rather than the standard interface we experience tech through every day, say the screens of our phones or digital projections, we are interested in giving technology sensorial materiality such as bubble skin, fog, plasma, scent." I received an unexpected response from Andy Kirk who suggested some people that is doing studies on the topic at the moment and I emailed them too. I also had a conversation with a psychologist, I talked to her about my ideas and she gave me suggestions about key terms to look at.

There were many manuscripts of literary works and some early editions of literary classics such as Jane Austen's literary manuscript, Leonardo da Vinci's design sketches and Nightingale's rose diagram. There are also some very distinctive art bound books. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to see with my own eyes some of what I had learned in class. It was very helpful for my research on literary classics and the art of binding gave me a lot of inspiration.

And I also found that some palce’s volume is higher that I realized such as the gallery. Even though the visitors are talking quietly but there were also some noise produced by mechanical devices.

Before that, I checked the official website of oral history and learnt that oral history as a special way of recording history can help people to have a deeper understanding of personal memories, identity, experiences etc. in Britain. The classification of oral history has inspired me to do research on social history in China. I also visited the Sir John Ritblat Gallery, where I saw many manuscripts, including some on the evolution of visual design. All in all, it was very helpful for my research!

It was a bit unfortunate that London Stadium didn't seem to have an open entrance, so I couldn't get into this stadium for a tour. But luckily I was able to get into the London Indoor Velodrome and see the cycling team practising, the sport was exhilarating!
