This document is a website who talks about (a website about - un texte ne 'parle pas') Halloween  the title is « spooky symbolism : The History and meaning behind iconic Halloween Images » written 30th of Septembre 2016 by an anonymous author.

It is about Skeletons ghosts, Jack-o-Lankerns, vampires, Bats, Black cats, spider and cobwebs, witches on Halloween.

Halloween takes place on the night of October the 31st, it marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the cold and dark winter, it’s a festival of the dead.
The Pumpkin is one of the different symbols and it is used like à lantern.
Then, there are some myths about vampires.There are supernatural, demonic and blood-drinking entities.
Bats have long been associated with mystery, evil and death and they live in caves.The link between Halloween and bats is that when the celts had a celebration they made a bonfires and bats came.
The legend tells that if you see a black cat a witch is probably near.
Spiders are linked with Halloween because of the danger, their presence evokes a creepy feeling that something has been dead or abandoned for à long time.
Finally : Witches
She has a pointy hat and a wart on her hooked nose and she is often seen riding her broomstick past a full moon. Presentation: This document is an article about witches’s trial in 1612; from History of Lancashire. It was written by Thomas Baines in 1867.

Description: 
-20 persones were comitted for trial in 1612
-most of them killed peoples and animals (many murders)
-the effect of the trial was important (talk about trial in other counties)
-part of them were discharged (no evidences) 

Analysis: 
-they are accused to be able to cause bad luck to those who offend them, but it’s wrong
-they are associated with a famous party « halloween »
-it’s lots of superstitions , they have caused the death of many witches, for nothing for example 8 people have bien assassinated in Lancaster
