Evidence:The evidence says that "the rich could afford gold . this can be seen as gold was rare at that point which shows that the only wealthy are able to own gold and gold ornaments."

inference:the evidence says that people before 1819 had cultural connections with Chinese

evidence:I can also tell that Singapore probably had cultural connections with the Chinese and trade very often. This can be seen from the design of the stoneware . the large jars portrayed dragons and have handles with monster mask . numerous shards also had stamped Chinese characters on them.

Source 1 tells me that before 1819 some people believed in Javanese culture as there was temples found. they also believed in Hinduism as  there were temples found.
