This is the route we followed, more or less. We started our journey from Pisa, stopping in Florence, Venice, Vienna, Bucharest and finally arriving in Bacau!

This was a 3-day journey: we slept in the night train from Venice to Vienna, we visited Vienna and then slept on the night train from Vienna to Bucharest.

We spent 200€ per person, while the same trip by plane would cost around 100€ per person, if bought in advance.

Due to a bus delay we had to run and almost stumble on our luggage to take this train, only to discover that it was 20 minutes late.

We ate at All'Antico Vinaio.

We were upgraded to first class, we don't know why. In our compartment there were comfortable bunk beds, a sink, and Hitler's direct offspring as train crew.

We were scolded because we used three pillows instead of two.

It was comfortable (maybe because we were exhausted?) but at a certain point in the night the Border Police stepped in to check our IDs. That's because Romania is not in the Schengen area.

Our lunch on the 20th included molten cheese, Tomato and spare bread from the day before. Tastier than it looks.

There was also a student doing Interrail from the Netherlands to Istanbul.

It's the Cathedral of the Ascension of the Lord.

She values the bridge between people and nature and has made this principle her compass in her work.

We met

There are about 150 TFR Fellows spread across 3 schools, we went to the school in Cleja.

We also had an interesting conversation about the differences between the Italian and Romanian school systems.

The directors are required to teach during the summer school. Amazing!
