In the new era of art, called Realism, artists would search for the utility of art. There would be no more “art for art’s sake”. Now is the contrary: art must serve a purpose, but then artist Beging to wonder how to revolutionate art and whit the new technology’s that were predominant in that time the avant-grade movent was created in wacho we could see movements like fauvism, cubism and surrealism.
Art in the second half of the XX century follows the ideas that were prefigured in the Avant-garde movements. It privileged the subjectivity of the artist and also created different movements according to their sensibilities. The work of art redefined (again) their meanings, and sometimes the art is not going to be significant for the way it is presented, but for what it means.
