Barış İlkokulu Kocaeli Darıca ilçesinde yer almaktadır. 1974-1975 Eğitim-Öğretim yılında 7 derslikle ilkokul olarak hizmete başlamıştır. Adını Kıbrıs Barış Harekatı’ndan almıştır. 2013-2014 Eğitim-Öğretim yılında ilkokul olarak yeniden açılmıştır. 2022-2023 Eğitim-Öğretim yılında 20 derslik, 26 öğretmeni ve 496 öğrenci ile eğitim öğretime devam etmektedir. Okulumuzda; Düşünme, anlama, araştırma, kendini sürekli geliştirme ve yenileme, akılcı, teknolojiyi her fırsatta kullanabilme ve sorun çözme yetkinliği gelişmiş bireyler yetiştirmeyi hedefliyoruz. Bu amaçla birçok projede yer alıyor, öğrencilerimize çağdaş eğitim fırsatları sunmaya çalışıyoruz. eTwinning projelerine de aktif olarak katılıyoruz.

The history of Zonguldak, which has become a city center in a short time, is very new to the history of the region. The formation of the city began with the operation of the coal mine in this district.
With the activation of the mines, domestic and foreign capital inflows to the basin started. In this way, the economic and social conditions that emerged as the coal mines were opened one after another, created a new settlement in this area where the mines were opened. In the correspondences made until 1896, Zonguldak was referred to as "Zonguldak nam locality" connected to the Ereğli liva.
With the construction of the Zonguldak harbor breakwater in 1893, the population and the number of buildings in the Zonguldak area, which expanded further, increased rapidly. Zonguldak was managed as a district organization until 1920. However, as the production and sales of mineral ore increased, or rather, the population and the number of buildings in the city increased in parallel with the economic conditions, Zonguldak was removed from the accident class on 1 June 1920 and was included in the district governorship class.
With the War of Independence and the Republic established after it, the basin saw the importance it deserves and Zonguldak became the first province established after the Republic on April 1, 1924.
