  • I want to make new memories with rioHC and EJC choir, and expand my social circle

    My main goal would be to put on a good show - I want to help the choir to perform well for our audience no matter its size. It’s more of a performance for ourselves, for us to enjoy and reflect upon, both for us as a batch and as individual choristers. Additionally, I want to get to know the EJC choristers better, and reconnect with some I’ve previously met during the ONE concert. Lastly, this is the first performance we’ve done with only the J1s, and the first project that the new comm is working on, so I hope to work well with both my fellow comm members as well as batch mates to ensure the concert goes smoothly.

    Focus:

    Review my scores, stay healthy, and sleep well. Furthermore, remain focused and not be distracted by the hubbub on the day itself no matter how rushed things can get, and remember that my mail goal is to put on a good show - this also helps to keep myself calm amidst the unavoidable chaos.

    Encouragement:

    6 August seemed so far away when the date was first announced, yet the concert is right around the corner now. It hasn’t been the easiest few practices considering the tight schedule and exams, but I’m extremely proud of the progress we’ve made, the bonds we forged, and the support the comm has received. Let’s do our best and have fun!!

  • The main thing I want to take away from the concert is to get to know the EJC choristers, and be able to bond together over this performance. I want both of our choirs to come though and put on a performance that we will look back upon fondly.

  • I will make sure to protect my voice before the performance whilst also ensuring that I am well rested before the day of the concert. I will also spend time to familiarise myself further with the songs, especially with regards to the dynamics. During the concert I will make sure to remain focused.

  • It’s not been an easy few months, and we struggled badly without the seniors. There were times when we were down, and others when we were stressed over WAs. But we pulled through! I am very proud and happy that all of you were dedicated during practice sessions, and that we were successful in achieving our targets of learning the songs. So let’s give it our best and display to the audience what our RioHC is all about, all whilst creating unforgettable memories together with EJC!

I know that we have all put in our best efforts in preparing for the concert, so i'd definitely hope for it to go well ^^


    2) Keeping myself healthy and conserving my voice!! No horsing around that's for sure, and knowing when to focus and when to have fun since a balance is definitely needed for us to pull off the show


    3) Jiayou everyone!! I understand that it has been quite arduous of a journey we have been on but we are gonna put on an amazing show!! Know that every inch, drop, tickle, whatever, of your effort had a part to play in making us who we are today, so don't ever doubt yourselves! Also remmeber to have fun and sing!! Lets put in our very best and make the "on-stage magic, last 10%" really really show ^^

  • i want to bond with my choirmates!! previously for performances we were grouped by section, but now we're all stuck together, so its quite fun
