Hello, my name is Ángela María Acevedo and I am 26 years old. I am single and I do not have children although I like babies. I am from a small town called San Lorenzo in the department of Caldas, I am an Embera Chami indigenous person. I study Psychology and my dream is to help my community. It is no secret to anyone that the Embera ethnic group is going through a critical situation regarding mental health, there are suicides, depression, abortions, abuse and others. From my profession I can contribute to the whole society in general. As I mentioned before I have always wanted to help my community and since childhood, my education was Pedagogue centered, so I could teach the women of San Lorenzo how to read and write; it was not easy for my economic situation but I fought for it.
I live with my dog Tobby in a small and cozy apartment in a neighborhood called Candelaria in the city of Bogotá; this neighborhood is popular for it’s colorful graffiti and attracts many tourists to visit and take pictures, but unfortunately not everything is pretty. In this neighborhood there is a lot of insecurity and drug addiction, that's why we can't go out at night, they could possibly rob us or cause any damage or harm. I see however an opportunity from my profession to contribute to this neighborhood with some strategies from the psychological field and study the causes to the root of the problem.


My daily routine consists of getting up at 9:00 am and having breakfast, which is usually coffee with milk, eggs, and corn cake. I walk to work later and at noon I'm having lunch if I'm hungry. At 7:00 pm, I come home and around 8:00 pm I have a quick dinner: rice, eggs and orange juice. Before I go to bed I enjoy reading a book called "The Diary of Anne Frank" and I go to bed around 10 pm. Durante estos días, mi compromiso con esta materia fue alto, pues estuve pendiente la todas las observaciones que la docente me realizo con el animo de aprender y perfeccionar mis conocimientos. Soy consciente que aprender una tercer lengua en cuanto a mi vida, me ayuda bastante en diferentes ámbitos personales y profesionalmente para desenvolverme con mis próximos pacientes, el practicarlo en otros países y espacios de mi vida cotidiana.

Aprendí vocabulario, construir una oración simple, pronombres, auxiliares, y algo de pronunciación, sin dejar a un lado los espacios de interacción con mis compañeros y docente, los cuales fueron el foro de tarea, laboratorio y Web conferencias y así afianzar mas mi conocimiento y sed de aprendizaje.

Me califico 8 porque me faltan cosas por mejorar en cuanto a la practica.
