1. I think that men and boys need to be taught more respect at a younger age. Respect for others, themselves, and the world around them. I think that often times boys lose sight of the importance of respect therefore when they get in future relationships with women, respect isn't something that they feel is necessary in a healthy relationship. This can lead to unhealthy sometimes even dangerous relationships. To be more specific I think boys need to have more respect for women. I know at St. Catherine's some reasons for our dress code is that our clothes can be a distraction. So, instead of teaching girls that they must wear a certain type of clothes to be respectable we should teach boys to control themselves and be able to focus and work with girls around them.

Men and boys today may seem a lot more immature than girls. Growing up, I think that boys would net to be kept watch on during school, and even outside of school. They need to be taught on the idea of what their life in the future might be like, and how the will grow to be men who are respectful and strong. In our world today, some boys do not take their education very seriously and it is easier for them to "focus" without girls in their area. I think it is hard for boys to concentrate and sit still, especially in a classroom with many other boys. A lot of the boys are going to grow up and work in important industries and maybe even have a family of their own that they will be in charge of taking care of and supporting. They are going to be a great image in their children lives, and looked upon as a role model. In modern society I believe that there are many things that the male education is lacking. There needs to be more direct one on one teaching with young boys. Often when boys are young it is very difficult for them to sit still and learn in large classroom settings it is hard for one teacher to help one boy who is struggling to focus when there are so many other children in the classroom. In addition, respect is very important, it is difficult to teach a child who does not respect their teacher. If respect is not taught to boys at a young age, it can impact how they treat women and other men in the workplace as adults.

A women l is not allowed to marry another man after his death, showing signs of respect, so a man should be taught these same morals to show self deprecation. I see this as a problem due to the disrespect and immaturity that some boys seem to have today. Like we have at our school where we have classes with boys in our later years in the upper school. I think they should be taught that they can have fun just simply talking to a friend instead of partying or being with girls. I think it is important to slowly show them the dangers of doing foolish things. Again I think it is important to first show them you can have fun without the substance abuse or girls. Men today seem very different then women in a few different ways. Boys mature slower than women. For example, their brains do not fully develop until about 4 years after a women's brain develops. They are also a lot of the time more reckless and less careful about what they say and do. I think they should be taught to be careful and respectful of their surroundings and themselves. I don't think this should only be taught to boys though. I think men and women should be taught the same because we all need to know the same things.
