Then, I’ll lose myself in The Shambles, that crazy-cute medieval street (and maybe sneak into the Harry Potter shop). If I have time, I’ll check out the York Castle Museum for a blast from the past or walk part of the City Walls for a different perspective. And because I’m a sucker for spooky stories, I’ll book one of those famous ghost tours—maybe the one with the dungeon?

Lunch has to be at Shambles Market—I’ll grab whatever smells best (Yorkshire pudding wrap, maybe?). For dinner, Skosh looks unreal—small plates mean I can try loads. And I absolutely have to squeeze in afternoon tea at Bettys, because when in York, right? If I’m feeling fancy, I might even day-trip to Castle Howard for some posh garden wandering.
