This poem demonstrates choice by taking your own path. In this poem, it shows two paths you can take. One is a path everyone takes and the other is a path nobody takes. One path was worn down and the other had growth over it. Like plants and shrubs. This poem shows us that you can still grow in a place that your not meant to be in. It shows us how a rose grew from in between cracks in the concrete. Roses are supposed to grow on bushes but this rose decided to grow in the sidewalk. Shakur wrote an example here, "Did you hear about the rose that grew from the crack in the concrete / Proving nature's laws wrong it learned 2 walk without having feet"( 2 pac 1-4). They are related because Frost was writing a poem about taking your own path, but the path was covered in shrubs. 2pac was talking about how a rose grew in that crack of the sidewalk. They relate because the flower didn't have to grow there. It didn't have to grow somewhere is wasn't needed. The rose made the choice to grow and become a flower. Frost didn't have to go down the path that nobody went down, it was overgrown with plants and woods.
