Cost of MSU:
The cost annually for a first-year at MSU would be around $26,594 which accounts for the tuition, books, and housing.

How students pay for tuition:
Most students rely on scholarships, student loans, help from their parents, or a combination of all of them. Some students also may take on jobs if their financial support isn’t enough. I am hoping to get help from my parents and scholarships to help pay but I will get a job if necessary.

Extra Payments:
Students spend a lot of money on rent and course materials, but some of the less obvious include groceries, transportation, food, clothes, and entertainment.

Housing:
MSU requires me to live on-campus for my first-year but that doesn’t really bother me as I would’ve wanted to live on-campus to experience and interact with others in a dorm. I would want to live with like 3 people because I think it’s better for me to get to know more people and I think it would be a whole lot more fun.
Importance:
This decision is very important as choosing another option like staying at home with your parent can have a huge outcome on your future especially if you have to drive far to get to your university. It also is important to know what kind of payment your housing offers so that way you don’t end up struggling to afford your rent.

The reason I chose this path is because I always loved and wanted to work with animals and being a Vet was always a dream of mine. I wanted to chose a University that would present a lot of opportunities for my major and that wouldn’t be too easy nor too hard to get into. MSU is the #1 school for an Animal Science major in Michigan as well which would further help me succeed in my path. As well as for housing, I didn’t have much of a choice as I was required to be on campus, I chose to be in a dorm with 3 other people that way I can interact and get to know more people. If I have any loans I need to pay after college I will work to slowly pay for it as well as ask for financial aid from my parent. I do think it will be worth it though as being a vet is a dream of mine and all this I feel will really pay off in the end.
