A negative effect in society is that the person's reputation will be slandered as people do not hesitate to believe anything they hear. Zuhayr-The way to act is by not listening and encouraging the rumor. It is not appropriate. The best way to act is to be supportive and help instead of make fun or bully. This has a negative effect on an individual because it can lower there moral and make them feel personally attacked.
