The Little Rock Nine by Joey Ungerleider

Why are executive orders used and in the case of Little Rock, was it appropriate to use an executive order?

Based on what Minnijean Brown mentioned in the video, what do you think? Do we still live in a divided society?

The executive order was extremely needed because without it the laws would have just been continued to be broken and more hate would have spread ( It mostly spread anyways but at least there was protection put in place )
Today's society isn't where it should be when it comes to uniting as a whole. Racial division is still a real thing, just because it was a long time ago doesn't mean the past has been forgotten and those divided values dont still exist.
( Definition of insanity )

I believe it was necessary to involve the executive branch in the case because I feel like without it the point that was trying to be expressed and interpreted would not have been taken as seriously. Yes we do still live in a divided society because certain people feel more comfortable talking to or associating themselves with certain people of the same race, ethnicity, etc. because that's just what is comfortable to people.

I think that the executive orders given at Little rock were appropriate, given the reactions of the community and the governor. Although it may not be as bad as jim crow and segregation, I think that our society is still divided. There is still much turmoil and conflict among the topic and race is still a major conflicting part of our world.

I think that the executive order that were used for the little rock nine were necessary because they were in danger because of these riots that were happening. I think we still live in s divided society but the hate isn't as strong as it once was and we aren't as divided as we were 50 years ago.
