Hello, good afternoon! For the second video on Dyslexia that doesn't work (Guinevere Eden on Dyslexia and the Brain), thank you for the YouTube link (works fine!). However, I'm wondering is there any way to still attempt the quiz embedded in the video file?

Reply: Due to the technical issues, we have removed the quizzes, so not to worry about it. Thanks.

Hi Dr Elizabeth, in the lecture video on challenges of dyslexia, there are two challenges that were covered; multi-step instructions and sequencing difficulties. If my student is unable to follow the bulleted points given to assist him in writing, which one of the above two is most likely to be the main cause? Multi-step could target the bulleted points while sequencing could be a more generic issue, or a combination of both.

Reply: Thank you for your question. Usually we try not to have cognitive overload for them so to cut down on the instructions or simplify it and better organise it (& best to show it visually as well). Research has shown that a combination of both would be more effective. Bottomline is we do need to check in with the students as actually many a time, the answer lies with them on what works best for them, as each student learns differently. Hope this clarifies. Thank you.
