It ended up being moved all the way to January, which I guess was a blessing in disguise, because I was definitely not ready in August. By the time it had happened, I evidently didn’t have an actual party. I invited only two of my friends, the closest ones, to the ceremony, but one of them slept through it. I did end up having an online party with the same two friends. I had another close friend (not gonna but his full name cus uhhhh but V) but at that point he had become so engulfed in his online friends he had almost forgot about us and therefor forgot about my bat mitzvah entirely, even though I reminded him multiple times. I guess that party type thing really was there to reveal who were my actual friends.
