How?<br>Set targets for each teacher, e.g.: Visit 3 colleagues' lessons in one semester, apply 2 strategies with reflections; host 3 colleagues in other semester; etc.<br>Basically, create a structure for informal sharing &amp; collaboration. <br>Operational considerations:<br>Each department to play host in one semester, and be 'learners' in the other.</div>]]></description>

It's an excellent platform to meet up and touch base with regard to key issues in subject and level areas. <br><br>PLT could be more anchored on literature and research theory so as to strengthen teacher competency. <br><br>PLTs could also be customised according to department needs and focus but still aligned to school direction, eg Assessment Literacy, DI. </div>]]></description>

Currently there seemed to be no continuity when it’s done at end of year. When it’s done throughout the year, Teachers have time to adapt and adopt whats’ being shared and try it out. Can start off with department peer observation, then inviting other departments. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Must it be a summative exercise? <br>One way to look at Ignite Fest is to think of it as a 'live' sharing of lessons that have been conducted across the year so that different departments can see, think and wonder how they could apply some of the ideas that have happened in different departments to their own subject areas. <br><br>Eg for 2019, there will be a Lit X Music effort. We can post the lesson up by sem 2 and we can then draw inspiration from inter-department collaborations. </div>]]></description>

This can be an opportunity for us to, when we are in our classes, make cross references to what our students are doing in different subjects, and incorporate some ideas in our lessons. <br><br>For example, as an EL teacher, if I know that in Science they are learning wave length and frequency, then there could be an opportunity to use some of the ideas when exploring some of our themes. </div>]]></description>
