This is my third year teaching for BCTC where I teach Introduction to Art, Drawing I & II. In the past I have taught for Midway University and University of Kentucky. I obtained my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Art Education at the University of Cincinnati and my Master of Fine Arts in Textiles from University of Kentucky. I create textile based sculptures that use embroidery, weaving and quilting and often exhibit my work locally, nationally and internationally. Introduction to Art is my favorite course to teach; I enjoying helping students get in touch with their creative sides while gaining an in depth appreciation for the Fine Arts! I am currently working on getting a degree in human services.I moved to Lexington in 2005 and currently and plan to live in Kentucky for the rest of my life but I am full of adventures. When I am not in school I enjoy the outdoors and most of all driving a semi truck and will be getting my CDL in the summer. I look forward to a great semester. A Lawrence County, Ky native born and raised. I just finished up 4 years with the United States Navy as a gunnersmate. I was directly in charge of all missles, torpedos, and 5 Inch guns onboard a Navy cruiser. I am married with a son and daughter and we recently moved back to Lawrence County,KY from San Diego, CA where i was stationed for 3 years.
