Therefore, the students will first need to be taught the different methods for comparing data such as histograms and plotting line graphs. By working in groups, they can develop their collaborative skills such as negotiation and teamwork to present their findings in the final lesson.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Since our students are based in Birmingham City they may be exposed to types of carbon emissions like local factories that burn fossil fuels/power stations and also transportation. These examples can be presented to support the students in understanding the context for an environment they are familiar in<br><br><strong>Relevance: </strong>Students will feel the lesson is more relatable and therefore this should increase engagement.&nbsp;<br><br>Students have previously expressed dissatisfaction in climate change lessons because they are based on other countries which are far away. If the data that the students use refers to countries like the UK or other countries, which are represented throughout the class, it will be more relatable. This will lead to increased engagement and the message about climate change will be stronger.</div>]]></description>

Those who are confident in finding their own research can be given a greater degree of independence <br><br><strong>Collaboration: </strong>Students collect their research and as a group, students consider the best way to compare the given data on carbon emissions.
