Approximately 2/5^th of Punjabi population is engaged in agriculture. The manufacturing sector of Punjab includes producing silk, wool and other textiles, processed foods and beverages, metal products and machinery, transport equipment and furniture. It contributes 2/3 of total production of food grains and a third of the milk production of the country.
Language

The official language of the state is Punjabi which is written in Gurmukhi script.
Clothes

The traditional dress for Punjabi men is Kurta and Tehmat (Punjabi style lungi which folds in front). These days’ men prefer to wear kurta-pyjama, the popular Muktsari style. The sikh men also wear a turban called pagri/ patka. The women wear kurta with Punjabi style ghaghra and salwar suits specially the famous Patiala salwar.
Religion
Sikhism is the major religion of Punjab and Hindus make up the largest minority. Small communities of Muslims, Christians and Jains also live here.
Dance Forms
The famous Punjabi folk dance for women is Gidda and for men and women is Bhangra which are full of energy. Other forms of dance found here are Jhoomar, Malawi, Sammi, Jaago and Dankara.
Monuments
Punjab has some of the most famous monuments which attracts tourists from all over the World and the most important pilgrim place for Sikhs, Harmandir Sahib ie. Golden Temple is in Amritsar. Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar, Quila Mubarak in Bhatinda and Sheesh Mahal or Palace of Mirrors in Patiala are the other famous monuments in the State.
Cuisines

Punjabi food is full of flavours and is known for its buttery flavours and richness. It has extensive options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Tandoori food is also very popular. Famous dishes include kulcha, sarson ka saag and makki ki roti, chhole bhature, tandoori chicken and lassi.
Festivals

 The popular festivals celebrated in Punjab include Lohri (winter harvest festival), Baisakhi (Harvest Festival), Hola Mohalla, Basant Panchmi (onset of spring), Teeyn (arrival of monsoon), Gurupurab and Diwali.
Sports

Punjabis play a wide variety of sports. Traditional games include Kabaddi, kushti (wrestling), Khuddo khoondi (like hockey). The modern sports include Hockey, cricket. There are over a 100 traditional games found in Punjab. 

60% of the people of Mizoram are engaged in agriculture and its allied activities. They follow Jhum cultivation and the main crop is Paddy.
Language

Mizo is the official language of the state and is also called Mizo Tawng. Hindi and English is also spoken here.
Religion

Christianity is the largest religion in Mizoram approx. 87% of the population. Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs are in minority in the state.
Cuisine

Rice is the staple food and Mizos love to add non vegetarian ingredients in every dish. They eat fish, chicken, beef and pork. Food is generally bland and cooked in less oil.
Festivals

There are 3 important festivals in Mizoram. Chapchar Kut festival (welcome of spring season), Mim Kut Festival (festival dedicated to loved ones and departed souls) and Pawl Kut Festival (offering first produce to the rain gods).
Sports

Sports has played a key role in the development of the State. Football, Basketball and Volleyball are very popular sports in the State.
Clothes

Puan is the traditional dress of Mizo women. “Puanchei” is the one worn during festivals. Besides this various different tribes have their own variations. They also wear a special headgear made of bass and cane. The dress commonly worn by men is a cloth 7 ft long and 5 ft wide wrapped around the body. In winter they put an extra piece of cloth around the upper body and pair it with white coat that has white and red stripes in the sleeves.
Dance Forms

The main dances of the State are Khuallam Dance (performed by males wearing traditional costumes), Cheraw Dance (performed by males and females using bamboo staves), Solakia, Chailam dance and Chawnglaizawn Dawn (dance by tribal community). 

Islam is the prominent religion and it has influence on local architecture, music, attire, cuisine and the lifestyle eg. Friday being the holiest day for Muslims, UAE follows Friday Saturday as the weekend. UAE has a huge expat population and people from other faiths and religions also live here.
Festivals

The most important religious festival is Eid. However other religious festivals observed by the expats are also celebrated with full enthusiasm. Besides this, UAE National Day, Martyrs Day, Date Festival and the Awafi Festival (traditional festival where they celebrate the culture and history of UAE and have outdoor sports) are also celebrated.
Sports

Traditional sports include Falconry which has been an integral part of Bedouins, Camel Racing and Horse Racing. The modern sports include football, cricket, tennis and motor sports. These sports came in with the advent of the expats from around the world.
Monuments

Key monuments of UAE include the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Qasr Al Hosn Fort, Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab and the Museum of Islamic Civilization.
Language

The official language of UAE is Arabic, however, the local Emiratis and expats widely speak English. Other commonly used languages are Urdu, Hindi, Malayalam and Tagalog.
Clothes

The traditional Emirati clothes for men include Kandura, Ghutra while that for the women include Abaya, Hijab and Burqa. These clothings have influence of Islamic culture and is well suited to the weather. UAE being a progressive Islamic State has given freedom to its expats to wear what they like but in modesty.
Dance Forms

Traditional dances of UAE include Al Ayyalah (performed by Men), Yollah (popular traditional battle scene dance), Harbiyah (dance of pride, victory and courage), Khaleegy (performed by women).
Cuisine

Arabic cuisine is one of the healthiest cuisines. It includes Hummus, Tabbouleh, Halloumi, Falafel, Moutabel, Manakish, Fattoush, Foul Medames, Pita, Maklouba, Kabsa, Shawarma and Kebabs.
Occupation

Occupations of the Old World of UAE include pearl diving, fishing and drum making. However, today UAE’s economy is based on oil, exports, tourism, manufacturing and construction.

Thus we see UAE is blessed with a rich heritage that encompasses architecture, sports, occupations, traditions, arts and crafts, food and places of historical importance. Though there are more than 200 nationalities living in UAE, who have the freedom to follow their culture, the Emirati Culture and its beauty stands out.
