Thoreau speaks on behalf of heaven and and earth and talks about its great influence. He says so much with only one sentence. It's there but it takes time to fully understand heaven and earth and its connection due to its subtleness. Solitude can help one understand the intricacies of heaven and earth.

Our ancestors will always be with us and never leave us. They are everywhere no matter what we do for the holiday. whether we gather with family and get dressed up, they will always be with us no matter what. Men in general try to purify their hearts by pleasing their ancestors and it is the force of good in the universe.

In this paragraph Thoreau speaks about the spiritual connection from higher power to nature, it is something you can't physically see or hear, but you see things in nature that have spiritual meaning to you. You know that there are spirits of higher power and nature but they can't be seen. This is connected to solitude because in nature you are alone but spirit is always with you, and you are also with yourself so you aren't completely alone, and you aren't affected by physical people around you.
