Hi everyone! My name is Deddy Tandiari, and I’m really excited to share this because it’s my very first travel post. Traveling has always been something that inspires me — it’s not only about going to new places, but also about learning, feeling, and creating memories along the way. Through this post, I want to start documenting my journeys so I can relive them, and maybe inspire others to explore too.

For my first story, I want to tell you about my trip to Mount Gede. Hiking this mountain was one of the most unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had.

The adventure began early in the morning. The trail welcomed me with tall trees, fresh mountain air, and the sound of birds singing in the distance. It felt like nature was guiding every step. The path was sometimes steep and challenging, but each step gave me a sense of reward and excitement.

As I climbed higher, I passed by waterfalls and beautiful forests that made me stop just to take it all in. The higher I went, the colder the air became, but the scenery only grew more breathtaking.

Finally, reaching the peak of Mount Gede was a moment I’ll never forget. Standing above the clouds, looking down at the vast crater surrounded by rugged rocks, I felt a mix of exhaustion, happiness, and awe. It was as if nature itself was reminding me how small yet connected we are to the world.

The way back down felt calmer. I had more time to notice the little details — the green canopy above me, the flowing river, and the cool breeze I knew I would miss once I returned to the city. By the time I reached the base, I was tired but deeply grateful.

This trip to Mount Gede wasn’t just about hiking; it was about pushing myself, appreciating nature, and finding peace in the journey. For my first travel post, I couldn’t have asked for a better story to share. And this is only the beginning — many more adventures await!

After spending some time at the summit, I sat down to enjoy the view and recharge. The cold breeze touched my face, while the clouds kept moving like waves beneath my feet. It was the kind of silence that makes you reflect on life.

On the way down, the journey felt different.
