Un aura bella y enigmática circunda el cerro Movediza. Sucede que allí podemos hallar la mítica Piedra Movediza, una estructura rocosa que mantiene hace miles de años un sorprendente equilibrio. Con un peso de 300 toneladas y una altura de 7 metros, su cuerpo oscila sutilmente sin alterar el fenómeno natural. Si bien su estructura original colapsó hace más de 100 años, hoy en día se puede encontrar una réplica en la misma locación de la original. El paseo cuenta además con un mirador en la cima y servicios de gastronomía.

Al parque se accede por medio de un pórtico de estilo renacentista que fuera donado por la comunidad italiana en ocasión de celebrar el primer centenario de la fundación de esta localidad. 

La zona incluye un verdadero Castillo Morisco que fuera donado por el gobierno español en 1923. El mismo fue levantado sobre un promontorio de 280 metros permitiendo así tener las mejores panorámicas de la ciudad, del lago y sobre todo de los cerros más importantes del lugar.

Se puede acceder con automóvil o caminando, el ascenso permite observar la forestación que acompaña al conjunto, formada por coníferas que le dan un aspecto inigualable al lugar. 
Los tandilenses recomiendan un ascenso nocturno para observar la verdadera belleza del conjunto. 
Muy cerca del castillo se levanta la estatua ecuestre del fundador Don Martín Rodríguez, se trata de una composición del escultor Arturo Dresco. 

Si descendemos por una imponente escalinata accedemos al Lago del Fuerte que forma un embalse que genera una zona de recreación de gran importancia para esta ciudad. Ideal para pasar el día en un ambiente de inigualable belleza.

En una de sus laderas del cerro que posee una altura de 286 metros, se sitúa el Anfiteatro "Martín Fierro", con capacidad para 2500 personas donde se desarrollan anualmente las Escenas de la Redención.

Fue inaugurado el 28 de Febrero de 1878. Sus cimientos se construyeron con la piedra de las murallas del antiguo fuerte y la mayor parte de los materiales de sus muros fueron extraídos de las canteras locales.
La rica y artística ornamentación interior del nuevo templo manifiesta la generosidad de los vecinos del Tandil de antaño: el majestuoso altar de madera pintado y dorado, dedicado a la Inmaculada Concepción patrona de la ciudad; los altares laterales de cedro; la pila bautismal y las de agua bendita, todas en mármol italiano y las hermosas arañas de luces.
En 1931 se adquirió en Alemania un carrillón de 10 campanas de acero. Emplazado provisoriamente en el veredón del Templo, y en 1969 se instala en la torre central del nuevo frente.
