Thirty years ago the technology was less advanced and not widely available. Digital forensics was relatively new. Now digital forensics has expanded since technology has advanced and has become available for everyone. Digital forces is constantly changing since technology is constantly changing and advancing. This makes digital forensics a very useful resource since everyone uses some form of technology in their lives. In today's world digital evidence and cyber crimes are becoming more popular/frequent so the need for digital forensics is growing by every day. Without it many crimes would go unsolved and the crime rate would go up since we would not be able to do much with the digital evidence.
