         <description><![CDATA[<div>In my class when helping a struggling student I would go against the 40/70 rule. For example, if I see a student who is struggling I would want 100% of the information (from parents, counselors, previous teachers, etc) in order to properly help them. The more information the better I can help them. </div>]]></description>

Through reading this book it opened my eye to allowing students to take ownership of their learning. Taking notes in the manner they feel helps them best. Showing their work in a manner that makes most sense to them instead of the way we as teachers expect them to show their work. Give them the ability to make decisions that help them personalize their learning experience.</div>]]></description>
