Mutual respect, all ideas were welcomed and troubleshooted. We were analytical in our approach.
3. Time limits and building materials. (name brand pasta please!)
4. To carry with us the principles of mutual respect, risk taking, all voices heard, analyzing from different points of view and PATIENCE!!

1. We had a collaborative approach. Each member had an idea and had the opportunity to express it and be heard. We then took those ideas and put them together to create our structure. We had people take charge when the idea didn't work and we recalculated and adapted to the situation.
2. We were very collaborative, flexible, listened to one another, we kept our emotions at bay and remained focused, and we thought about the outcomes.
3. The marshmallow were too big, we did not have enough time to plan and go through trial and errors, we needed a preplanning period before we began building, and our structure fell.
4. Making sure that all voices are heard during our collaborative meetings, trying out ideas even if we aren't sure if they will work, proper planning, being supportive, looking at the bigger picture, being flexible and adapting, and using our resources that we have on hand.

1. Functioned well and naturally found different roles, equal number of "do-ers", "supporters" and "leaders"
2. We built on the ideas of others and tried to incorporate everyones ideas. We respected each others ideas and included different ideas in the building
3. Time constraint was stressful!
4. Pairs great with accountable talk- we need to respect others and model teamwork! Respect each others ideas and build on them. We worked well together and were able to shift roles.

Everyone took a role where needed. We listened to each other and took suggestions.
3. Our frustration was when the marshmallow was not supported, but we persevered and tried various methods to keep it standing.
4. As a strong member of an inclusive collaborative team each of us needs to be open to suggestions, be willing to let go of our pride in order to meet with success, understand each others' strengths and weaknesses. We continued working together towards a common goal in spite of the challenges.

What were your team's frustrations?
Tedious task, noodles kept breaking and limited resources. With more time and resources we could make it last.
4. How can you apply what you learned from this challenge to your role as a strong member of a collaborative team?
We all did our part and all voices were heard.

1. Amazingly! The team used lots of humor and our two new educators (Ms. Ryan and Mr. Miller) and Ms. Spriggs were the first to manipulate the supplies when other educators may have been afraid of breaking the spaghetti. Eventually, all team members were hands-on.

2. "All voices were heard," (Ms. D., 2018). Collaboration was outstanding. We had a great time and hope to engage our own students in these types of icebreakers. Mr. Terry Miller perseveres above all, as he refused to let go of that spaghetti strand until it became awkward.

3. Knowledge of building structures.

4. We must listen to each other, build upon each other's ideas, support each other, and take risks when appropriate. We focused on the task while still having fun. We acted on ideas rather than come up with a bunch and not have time to complete any of them. We reflected upon completing the activity about how we would change parts of our plan if provided the opportunity in the future.
